I know!! It’s been a while since I don’t write either in English or Spanish, the first wedding season it’s done! It’s been crazy and joyful so far, to many #OnlyOnceCouples happy, so I have basically three months (before the second season starts) to write, get inspire, take action and do what I love: WEDDINGS.
Today, I am writing to you, who is reading me from abroad, as I told you before I’m a Tourist Management Girl (have you read how I started? click here to find out!) and yes I’m in love of Mexico, of my city and my people. This 2018, I’ve been discovered lovely venues to get married here, alternative ones, different… mesmerizing, here are my TOP 5 Venues to get married in Mexico City. Take note!
Proyecto Público Prim
Seriously you’ll love it! you’ll never realized how amazing it is until you are in the middle of the main patio, this venue has been since the last year “THE VENUE” for many couples, it’s different, it’s eclectic, it’s alternative… What I love about, it’s the different scenarios that you may have in one place. Proyecto Público Prim it’s an old house in the middle of the city that remains the belle époque of Mexico. PPP, it’s not for everybody, from my wedding planner point of view, this place is for bold, sassy and boho couples, couples that wants to remain the main architecture of the house while detailing and enhance are the most important things. Totally in love!
NIMA house
This one is special!, it’s for boutique weddings or elopement ones, those exclusive and exquisite weddings where you can even smell the experience (you already know how intense I am right?) , well, if you are one of those couples, NIMA HOUSE it’s your place, located in the middle of LA ROMA, one the main neighborhoods in the city, is literally the best boutique hotel in the city, with just 4 rooms and B E A U T I F U L places you just need creativity, the best wedding vendors and accept the fact that this place it’s just for a party of 20 people, NO MORE! Trust me, I tried before!… What to expect?!: The best spotlights for your first look shooting, privacy and the feeling that your are having your wedding in the middle of your own house.
PUG SEAL Hotels
Two houses, one heart, same city! This is what I love about PUG SEAL Hotels, the nicest neighborhood in town: POLANCO, here you’ll find two very classy and sassy mansions, different styles, same personalized attention. Let’s described them:
- The blue one named: QUETZALCOATL, located in Edgar Allan Poe Street, this place is perfect for weddings around 40 people or more, it has everything, rooms, dining area, beautiful decoration, full patio for the ceremony or the party.
- The pink one named: SENTIMIENTOS (Feelings), my favorite for obvious reasons!, it’s located in Tennyson street, it’s a dream come true, smaller than the blue one, it’s ideal for rehearsal dinner or a brunch the day after the wedding.
Plutarco Elías Calles House
To be very honest with you the name in Spanish it’s LOOOOONG, so first of all you should know who is Plutarco Elías Calles right? Well, one phrase: He was president of Mexico loooong time ago, what we care about him in the wedding industry is his house, it’s perfect if you want to get married in an historical place surrounded by truly national jewels, as an historic house it has many regulations to follow, but it’s worth it, so, If you are looking for privacy, exclusive attention and a place surrounded by Mexico history this is your venue.
ESTACIÓN INDIANILLA
Would you imagine your wedding in an old warehouse where it was used before to assemble the trains that were part of the historic Mexico? Well, now it’s possible! It’s not an old warehouse anymore, actually, nowadays it works as a cultural space where you’ll find local and 100% mexican art, but, it’s used to as a wedding venue, the best kind of weddings for this particular venue are definitely the INDUSTRIAL ONES, the venue itself has the entire look and feel to create this type of events. Things that I love about the venue: It’s a blank canvas where your decoration ideas can be possible.
Well, now you have more options form the traditional ones that may already know, 5 venues, same city, best experience… Will you get married in one of these places?! Rise your hand and call me, I’ll be more than grateful to help you with your wedding in Mexico City.
With passion and common sense,
